Individual Therapy

Do you want to adjust the way you speak to your spouse? Your relationship with a family member? Process a traumatic event? Grieve a loss? Change the way you approach dating? Explore how parts of your past have made you into the person you are today? Become more connected with your inner-child?

Individual therapy can be an excellent place to answer questions and meet new goals while understanding yourself more fully along the way. At Colorado Connections Therapy, individual treatment is highly tailored to each person but is always attachment-focused and trauma-informed. Some models used include Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Psychodynamic, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Systems Models, and Gestalt Therapy.

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
